In his role as New Business Developer Philippe greatly supported me towards achieving the targets set by the Reinhart group of the import business unit "Edible Nuts" for the UK market, based in London. Supply Chain Traceability

Philippe was responsible for securing the funding and the overall coordination as the project lead of the public-private partnership project Cotton4Impact.C4I was part of the Sub-Saharan Cotton Initiative (SSCI), and co-financed by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Philippe hired me as an external consultant to support this innovative project. We worked on digitising more than 100,000 African smallholders in the cotton supply chain of Ivory Coast, Tanzania and Zambia. Thanks to his excellent communication and reporting skills as a project manager we jointly managed to successfully conclude this impact project.

Digital Work

As initiator and co-project leader Philippe developed the name and concept for the online tool DissGo of the Life-Science Zurich Graduate School at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. To date, it fully digitalizes administrative workflows during academic studies for several hundred PhD students, professors and program coordinators. It has been a pleasure working with Philippe on this innovative product, and I thank him for the excellent collaboration.

Sustainability Claims

Philippe is a co-founder of the NGO Rhino and Forest Fund and supported our fundraising over many years. The NGO protects biodiversity hotspots in Malaysian Borneo by converting palm oil plantations back to natural ecosystems. Until today more than 150 ha are under active restoration (including tree planting) and more than 2000 ha have been treated to accelerate natural regeneration. I thank Philippe for his dedication to support our joint effort to conserve biodiversity over the past fifteen years.

Community Service

As the responsible for the international projects of a Swiss grant-making foundation Philippe supported the crowdfunding activities of Montessori School Mwanza in Tanzania. The school provides early childhood education and trains teachers according to the principles of Montessori. Over the past five years 600 students and 250 teachers have benefited from our education with handmade wooden teaching materials and local infrastructure that provides education in a safe environment. I am grateful for Philippe's fundraising support and look forward to continuing the collaboration to strengthen Montessori education across Africa.

Workshops

For the new master's programme in Sustainable Business Development, Philippe developed a course independently as an external lecturer, using a variety of diverse and pedagogical teaching methods. All courses and the support provided to students were carried out in accordance with the assignment and to our complete satisfaction. I would like to express my gratitude for the valuable support and comprehensive supervision of students over the past years.
